October Sweatdown 2K24

The October Sweatdown 2K24 is here, and with it still warm during the day but cold at night? Get sweating for the spooky season.

I do these Spotify Playlists every month and try to feature mostly new music. I’ve been doing it since April of 2018. I’m proud of the fact it’s one of the few consistent things I do every month. I might not work out as much as I’d like to. I might not write as much as I’d like to. But I absolutely do these playlists every month.

Here’s some thoughts on some of the artists and songs on this month’s playlist:

I actually saw Culture Wars in September. They came to Caesars Windsor with The Cult. I had an All Elite Wrestling pay per view to watch later that night so I only stayed for the Culture Wars set. They were absolutely fantastic. Easily one of my favourite rock bands of the past decade.

I held off this playlist coming out until The Blue Stones released their new song Your Master and it does not disappoint. Speaking of wrestling, a pro wrestler should definitely make that their theme song.

Fuck Around Phase by Housewife came out last year but I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit this past month.

Of course Sick Love is here again because I keep going back to their album Champagne. Might be my favourite album of the year.

It’s Spooky Season and Secret History by Foxing creeps me out.
